LCC-Self Portraits

Thinking of a time when our campus will be non-existent, this publication preserves the London College of Communication (LCC) campus through a series of prints. Allowing the campus to generate its own image, these self portraits are developed through a process where various machines found within LCC contribute and distort the imagery.

While most of the images were taken by myself, from inside and outside the campus, the rest of the photographs were captured by construction engineers, situated on the site of LCC’s future location.

The process is an amalgamation of digital and traditional printing techniques, from a digital automated image treatment, utilisation of the photopolymer platemaker, a printing press, a thermography machine, and screen printing. Each intricate process imbues the photographs with distinct characteristics, rendering every image in the publication truly unique.
