A Csend / The Silence by Béla Balázs is a short melancholic story from 1908. The meaning is rather controversial, some say it is about death, others think it is more of about growing up. To reflect the ambiguous meaning, the illustrations have little story telling, to leave the analysis to the reader.    

The illustrations are short, 4-second animations that can be revealed with a mobile app. Some key elements are easily recogniseable and connect to the story literally but the vaugeness of the narrative is intentionally kept by the abstract shapes.
